Need Belleville Washers?

A cupped spring washer is typically used as a spring or to give a flexible quality to a bolted joint. These cupped spring washers are otherwise known as Belleville washers and can be stacked to modify the amount of deflection. The deflection stacking offers is not proportional to the number of springs, there is a bottoming-out effect when the springs are flattened entirely. Load losses also occur due to friction between the springs. These washers are found in almost every aspect of engineering, unless you're using cryogenic flange bolting. In that case, the flange acts as its own washer.

Vacuum Switches

Before computers in engines were effective in cars, an engine vacuum was used. Vacuum switches were used and they operated vacuum motors, other switches, and many other devices in the car. There are many different types of switches including a manual switch, a vacuum electrical switch, a booster, a bleed valve, a coolant temperate override, a delay valve, and a check valve. These are the most common types found and often carry one or more belleville disc springs.

Cryogenic Flange Bolting

To use liquid natural gas in a working environment, special conditions and equipment is required. Cryogenic valves, joints, and cryogenic flange bolting must be used. A flange is basically a rim or lip around the bolt, acting as if belleville washers were installed.
